Dunno about that. Look what happened with the Neo Geo with their insansely expensive games (though actually the console costed more than an xbox one too)

Prices etc and even performance will probably matter very little unless there's £200+ gap and one of them looks like a NES... the biggest decisions for people choosing new consoles are compatibility with mates and learning a new controller layout... do not underestimate the persuasive power of 15 years twitch muscle fibre training based around the Dual Shock! I'd be surprised if its a lot more for games, they'll make more profit by outselling them. Xbox will be the new blackberry lol.

I predict playstation will just keep their prices constant a lot longer than xbox. They usually drop quite a bit after a year or so.. xbox will drop theirs sooner and by more and playstation can drop it less frequently and by less. I bet about 80% of sales happen in the first year anyway so just beat your competition then and the overall race is over.

Yes, GTA 5 is supposedly gonna be released on the PS3, which makes sense since it will be dropping in September and the next gen consoles arent expected to drop until closer to the end of the year. This is at least what I gather from what I've read.

I'm assuming the european price has VAT etc. included, which would account for at least some of the difference.

Edit: Also, as TML points out, the UK price is £349.

Hmmm places with higher costs of living having goods cost more... it's $599 or something like that in Australia.
It's nice to see people trying to defend Microsoft already, IMO the 360 was a fluke for them. The original Xbox was nothing too special and lost out against Sony.
The PS3 had issues with developers due to it's specialized hardware and architecture where the 360 was standardized like a PC, now that Sony has gone that route and has the better hardware and is cheaper developers are going to make the better versions once again on Sony.
The Xbone may have some of the casual and all in one media audience, but they lost core gamers, which is what sells consoles at launch.

Gonna have to catch up with the Nintendo Direct stuff from today and see how that played out.

Yea Bayonetta 2 is gonna be an interesting one to watch as you don't know if fans of the original are going to buy a Wii U for 2, and the original wasn't on any Nintendo systems, so you don't know if the core Nintendo guys are going to buy it.

im hoping theres another game or that was kinda dissapointing

i hope retro gave metroid to japanese devs and samus will have a sexy outfit with some new bad ass weapons.

The last time Japanese devs got a hold of Metroid Other M happened.
