I'm getting some 8 > 12 year old ting.
Most auctions here are cars that have been repossessed or impounded, so the years vary.
Missed this, I'm going to 'trade' auctions not private sales, so the cars are sold at CAP trade cost or lower, plus indemnity and buyers fee are tiny. Also means usually the quality is a bit higher with greater detailing in the description. but yeah not being able to test the car beforehand is the price you pay for that hugely discounted cost. but when you're only flinging a couple of grand about, it's nothing.

Worth checking for "Eunos Roadster" in this country too... lots of grey imports came over from Japan in the 90s and 00s - they're RHD, but often what you save on the book price you make up for when your insurance company realises they don't have a button for "same car, different name".

Kahnage: On the spare parts tip - for example, an engine for a Mk2 with 69k on it goes for about £200 according to eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAZDA-MX5-MK- ... 2a13280ace
