Here is a really got article i just read from Vice. explain factually what happened, and proves that 4x4 did kill bassline.

Bit of a short sighted view ain't it?

The whole article gives off the vibe that it was aggy characters and police restrictions that "killed" it.

Those's aggy characters they speak of from the fan/djs/drug dealers that stemmed from the 4x4. Drug will alway be a part of a lot of scenes, but prior to when they were playing more soulful stuff, it wasn't *that bad.

He also makes some reference to how it turned for a white culture to a black one, attacking drugs out outer cites i assume into the scene - i don't know if that a racism remark, I didn't think it is, but there it is
