Ya, you got to watch out for them V(irtual)STi's man.
Remember playing your dads drums
Remember getting your first bass guitar
Remember modding your cassette deck so you could over dub
Remember making beats on the playstation
Remember recording your final mixes to cassette tape
Remember when audacity was your daw
Remember trying to get a crack of fruity loops, and just giving up, and buying it
Remember when your crack of massive kept crashing, so you just bought Komplete
Remember when you became a mac fag and learnt logic (though still use pc more!!!)
Remember when you decided to make the fonts folder on your computer, your porn folder
Remember getting your first MIDI keyboard, and it becoming the largest/most expensive paper weight you own
Remember when you tune battled, and lost
Remember when you bashed noobs, and brostep
Rember when you got a warning for trolling
Remember when you Burnt out as a music producer, and rised a sonic artist
Remember

I've still got like all the "classic" KVR freebies installed, but they don't appear in my VST list anymore. Less choices = better choices IMO.
Also, killer "Remember" list 3ZA... are you and your fucking bear suit coming back to us?

s'the good thing about fl, the plugin picker. I've got a few hundred plugins installed, but I've got more core shit in the plugin picker. I literally do have dyslexia, so long lists of text, like fl's drop down of plugins feels like a squeeze and twist of the balls. The plugin picker is such a relief, just pick the color and shape of my desired plugin, and from categories.

And 3za, yeah, nice list, was gonna go through and make my edits, but that'd take forever and I'm on only one eyeball mode. Good list though.

I will kick it for a bit...
This board is so slow nowadays though...
Remember when you could sit on the production board hitting refresh and new posts would come up all the time.
nowaysj wrote:s'the good thing about fl, the plugin picker.
Whats this plugin picker, you speak of? You using a in date version of FL, or something crazy?
What version they even on now? the E-mail I bought it with died, so I don't get the e-mails anymore (and I don't care for them)?
I could google that. but I'm trying to get some activity back here.

Dude, on production, I'd go and do something for 15 minutes, come back to a thread, and there'd be two more pages of the posts. Half of em would be idiotic (in a bad way) and the other half would be informative/hilarious. Yeah it is slow as fuck. Dead really. It is just me and Fragments, really.
Um plugin picker? It is a visual representation of all your plugins that you've added to a plugin database. There are catagories that you can create, and you can just grab your device, and put it where you want it, if it is a synth, you can put it on a mixer channel, and it will autoroute that device to that mixer channel. Just really fast, EASY way of navigating a large group of plugins, and of organizing plugins to your taste, and no text. There are two sides, Generators, and FX. For Gen, I've got a cat for synth, sampler, drum machine type stuff, for fx, I've got a cat of rev, comp, limiting, texture, delay, time based fx, specific stereo tools. SO fast.

And Wub, but he don't count, as he's a mod, so evil.
Can you still hold down the down key, and close your eyes, and press enter. Thats how I manage my plugin list, never know what you will get.

nebula is probs just very mysterious and thats that then

..
melodyne
- [+] Spoiler
- melodyne is indeed unique. on top of being sort of like autotune, it can interpret huge bits and can sort of decide what are notes and what isn't and then with one click you have that whole scale you can move about. which means you can steal harmonic structure unseemingly. I could have said chord progressions but it's more complex than that because you can 'fixate' scales. im giving up now..

Can Melodyne export melodic elements as a MIDI file?

I know a sculpturist, and we have come up with some ideas/sketches for a sound installation.
We have strong conceptual ideas backing it up. The piece is about natural decay, humanity, destruction/creation, birth/death, and sexuality (obviously).
I can't tell you exactly what it's going to look like, or sound like. but it's going to be living, dying, and fucking all at the same time.
We just need to make a max/msp patch. and get funding for it.
Being a sonic artist, ain't no easy thing.

The guy I'm working with is fucking nuts.
He wants to put art installations in the middle of a battle fields, and I'm not even going to tell you what he wants to sculpt out of seman, and other bodily fluids. First time I hanged out with him, he wanted to blow stuff up in microwaves, and paint with fire. I should of ran away then, but he was just soo fucking strange I just had to keep hanging out with him.
All he goes on about is conceptual backing of the piece. Where I just want to making something that looks, and sounds fucking cool. He is erratic as fuck, goes through about 3 sketch books a day, but only finishes a few small pieces a year... We will see how it goes...
I know another sculpturist, but I want to fucker her, and she knows it . So she just ignores me all the time when I message her

Nah I don't think he want to fuck me, just collect my seman.
He's obsessed with the female sculpturist. It funny a few year ago when he first met her he told me all about this girl he met that day, that was an amazing artist, and was cute as fuck. Though I didn't realise the girl he had just met, and fell in love with, I already know her.
