Like almost anything really - most is derivative shite but the ones at the forefront are at least injecting something fresh, even if it does reference older thing.
Vaporwave is what - timestretched samples of 80s tracks? Yes it's simple/lazy or w.e., and yet it still sounds different enough from the source to stand up on its own right. That Washed Out track from few year ago for instance is different enough in tone/vibe to the original....
'PC Music' I don't quite get - but I do quite like the idea of slightly off-kilter pop music.
