Truly a great sequencer though. Very powerful through and through, and actually, a lot easier to use then you'd think. It's just intimidating, but it's actually intuitive, simple, and very very powerful. If you've ever used live or acid you'll get in there and bang some shit out very fast. Then you'll learn and grow and learn and grow and learn and grow and never feel limited by your environment. Do it one, do it right. I've changed environments too many times, knowing I wanted to land in Cubase, but I was always too intimidated. Check out the tutorials on you tube and you'll be up to speed after one painful hour of trying to get it to make a noise, and one hour spent trying to wire midi to your instruments :-P.
and learm them shortcuts!!

F3 is your friend!
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 0 or STFU!! Hey FSTZ, do you know why there are several mixers in cubase? Havn't figured that out.

You can set each one to different default views. Like one for faders and routing for all channels, one with only the drum channels shown, and inserts, one with the drum submixed to a group and the bass and sub channels... Then you have your three most common mixer views just a hotkey away, instead of just doing it from within the menu in one mixer, which isn't hotkeyable, afaik.

I'm sure that isn't all it's for, just one application I found for it.

yeah man!

I actually use Nuendo (got it at cost before steinberg was bought by yamaha)

but I have been using it since 2005 and I love it

I could probably use the upgrade, but since I no longer sell the gear, I might have to wait until bonus time.
