i do NOT like redbush. especially when it's called rooyibos (no offence afrikaans). one time my cousins offered me a cuppa and i proper felt like one and she brings me redbush and it totally fucked up the whole tea drinking experience for me that evening. standardly i threw it in her face and called her a slag. nah jokes... lol

never really tried many exotic teas. some really interesting stuff in this thread though so i might investigate.

as for normal teas though its pg tips all the way. my brother used to work for the tea sciences division of unilever (weird job i know) and according to him pg tips is the best 'mainstream' tea and typhoo is the worst

When I was in London (Sarf, natch) last year I had Tetleys and it was actually
pretty good, but over here it tastes like horsespunk. Now, if your ever in Ireland, BARRYS TEA is the best shit ever. Either the Gold blend or the red box, good and strong, oh yes!!! Supreme awesomeness. Irish people drink more tea than English ppl do. Which is insane, cos England are notorious tea drinkers. My Dad used to drink 12 POTS of tea a day.
PS: Milk, no sugar for me, thanks.

Tetley tea has some deep roots in the south...
not to mention some strict rules:

It comes in a glass over ice and it's sweet (sugar first, tea second).
You want it hot? Set it in the sun.
You want it unsweetened? Add a lot of water.

I personally don't care for sweet tea...but don't tell my grandma that!

i love me some hot licorice-peppermint!!! :P

Im not into flavoured Tea. My thing is real high quality Chinese Tea. Basically the good stuff that you can't get in this country.
No milk and sugar either. Just Tea that tastes like Tea.

Seriously allow the cow. Sugar, granted i still like a bit of it in my earl grey (not 4 sugars like i used to though), but green / herbal teas have subtlety and you kill that by adding anything other than water.

Would quite like to get my hands on some chinese tea, my girlfriend's brother had some but i would only ever get tiny, tiny amounts of it because he was so stingy with it.

MMM, Chai Lattes are the yummiest things since white hot chocolate and Illy coffee. Or Monkey Bean. Still tea FTW, tho. Time for a cup RIGHT NOW!!!
