Born in Streatham but raised in East London. LEYTON to be exact. Home to the premiership hopefuls Leyton Orient.

This thread is much more interesting with pictures!

Here is my hometown in Poland. There was supposed to be a fountain. There was a competition and there was even a winner, a figure of a small girl reaching down to the pond to grab some water. And then there was a problem, because when the girl was bending down, her skirt went up and her butt would end up facing the church... So now we have some Easter decoration (in the photo) or some new year decoration set in the fountain base... I don't think we'll ever see the girl again.

Here is where I live now:

This was the nicest picture of Lahti I could find on the net. People do complain about this place very often, but the harbour is nice and the lake is beautiful. And Finland... definitely not about great cities or architecture. But if you like nature and silence, it's the place :) The thing I like the most is that almost every bit of green in the city is a piece of original forest... I would really love to visit NZ one day! (I've heard you've got no bugs, but dunno if that is true )

Well, plenty that bite (numbers not species) but more inna irritation stylee than life-threatening.

I couldn't agree more. My favourite story is of the Italian guy, who found Lahti really beautiful and refreshing (for the locals it was unbelievable). He said, that he is already fed up with all these old buildings surrounding him in Rome

As for the bugs - dammit, I so hoped it was true
