well i'm really glad peeps are feelin the 1st hour bizniss, and are even requesting disco and folk!
was a a bit worried peeps might not dig it...
so, the gauntlet has been thrown...can i actually play Steeleye Span on Rinse?!
haha, dont wanna take this piss u know!
seriously tho gonna dig deeper and pull out some gems for the next one...
to be honest its a real buzz sharing this stuff, its great to put all those wasted hours of charity shop scouring and boot-sale mornings to some use!
not to mention the 6 years in one of London's strangest chain of record shops!
yes braiden, that Steve Reich is a gem eh, its just a small segment from it, but u may recognise it from The Orb's 'little fluffy clouds', who borrowed one of the riffs at the end of it...if u like it, u should check all his stuff, particularly Octet, Music For 18 Musicians, & Drumming...all sublimely hypnotic pieces of music

oh yeah im familiar! i saw music for 18 performed at the barbican a few years back. more than impressive but ill readily admit i didnt quite get it as much as my (gifted) mate who i went with who was telling me about the psychoacoustic hallucinations that the piece conjures up..
