aye dellus that might be why, like i was saying to you the other day its partly a psychological thing, like the others said, see if you can try and bag some time off work in a way like they said just in case it might help to see someone, fingers + toes crossed still

My tinnitus is in the right ear....perhaps we could combine forces!!!

Yeah, just stop stressing about it. I know it's hard to do but it won't help. Just try to relax. Do the ear massaging thing, put on some background music...even the sound of traffic can take your attention away from it.

I remember when I was a kid I used to crash at a mates house, and he had a fish tank in his lounge. It used to be nightmare getting to sleep, but then you'd get used to it and it'd be like there was nothing there.

The same has eventually happened with my tinnitus, it's called 'habitualisation', or something like that, I think. But it's not going to ruin your life, just take the precautions to make sure it doesn't have the opportunity to get worse (that's if it's even permanent). But don't worry too much, tinnitus is only a little bit like AIDS.

i think the point is that once you get either you have them for life. but yeah it's not quite the same

anyway hope it either clears up soon or gets copable with (wonderful phrasing there i know)

i thought it was cos it can only take one incident for either of them to happen??

Yes. This is the reason that it is in Delendi's put it in her sig (if I remember rightly), and that it is in her sig is the reason that I mentioned it. I realise that is no parity between the two, and didn't intend to offend, and I'm sure that Delendi didn't mean to either.

This just highlights the need to wear plugs, I always end up with ringing ears after dubstep nights, but thankfully it has only been short term so far.

Hope it works out ok delboy.

i think i have now joined the tinnitus club, despite being proper anal about wearing plugs at the raves, i have, like a tit, ignored the need to wear them when on my motorbike, have just been reading up about it and apparantly the windnoise is really damaging when riding unprotected, and i do pretty much everyday, think its the VERY high pitched "wind whistling" noise

fuck fuck and double fuck, i feel like an absolute arse, banged on at everyone for so long about protecting their hearing at the raves and then made a schoolboy error in another area, had ringing for about a week now, hoping it will pass, getting a set of plugs i can actually fit under my helmet for tomorrow

if it wasn't so awful it'd be funny

my turn now...

ARE YOU WEARING YOUR EARPLUGS LUKE?
HOW ARE YOUR EARS LUKE?
DO YOUR EARS HURT?
DO YOU WANNA TAKE A BREAK LUKE?
ARE YOUR EARPLUGS DEFINITELY IN PROPERLY?

sorry bretherin. have u told your dad? i haven't told mine still.

i'm actually cool with it now. it's just my little noise friend who's there sometimes when i go into a sound proof room at work, and noticeable for a minute before i fall asleep... i hope yours becomes as bearable as mine bluke.
