Nope there wasn't which was a bit of a pain! Ticket & guestlist only affair ...

Flying Lotus was awesome, nice to have such a diversity of beats! And really feeling that venue; one of the best in London surely?

I can second that there were no tickets on the door. Gutted I couldn't go in, sounded too much.

fuck, what a good night. I think my fav moment was either snake eater getting a rewind from rustie & hudmo, or when kode9 dropped queen in my empire. flylo was fucking incredible. just the best night i've been at in fucking ages. So good being able to smoke in there...

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Fly-Lo turning samples of Windowlicker into some sort of mutant jungle thing made my eyes go bent. I loved Jose James, and am busting with anticipation for his Fly-Lo produced album - it was so nice to see WARP type crowd dancing to real soulful slow jams :) Kode 9's whole set was spot on. Was gutted had to leave as Mala was coming on but had to go home and work :o :o :o :o :o But great venue, perfect soundsystem, nice crowd, absolutely splendid vibe all round.

Gaslamp killer was a nutter, his set was dope but then so were everyone elses. The venue, the music, the vibes, everything was spot on. Gutted i missed Samiyam though.

Kode 9 opening with Cameo was another highlight.

Haha, you could overcome the 'no tickets on the door' thing with a little bit of ingenuity!

Wicked, wicked night - fantastic venue, like someone else said nice to be able to smoke as well, and a ticketed bar system that stopped me from going overboard - shame they'd only got whisky left by then end of the night though.

All the DJs smacked it, nice to see most of them wandering around through the crowd as well. Shouts to the Percy Ingle tea shop on the way home!

lol, you have no idea how hard it ended up being to get in, the bouncers were militant (still managed it though hehe!)

Didn't Fly Lo drop some more popular bits - Burial/Skeng/the instrumental of that old rnb tune with the indian sample over the top. Load of different sounds in that set and he seemed to be enjoying himself too!

As I've said in the ashes photo thread, one of the best nights I've ever attended.

Got there for the start (at 8:30, did Benji B play?), Take was killing it! I really really rate this guy and It's a shame there wasn't more people there. Everybody must check his Earthtones and Concrete album, stunning stuff in my opinion.

Ras G was sick, and was really testing that system! :o Really hope more of his stuff gets released soon, some seriously good stuff getting dropped.

Samyiam stepped up and it started filling out, he really has his sonic signiture perfected, really really love that Daedelus remix.

Gaslamp Killer played some classic stuff mixed up with some raw Turkish Psych Rock, Clipse - Grindin' had be boppin' for sure. Jose James was some really good stuff also.

Rustie and Hud Mo killed it as per, Hud Mo's The Hop :o Urgh fucking tune! Really reminded me to get off my arse and get that 12".

Flylo murdered it, too many tunes to name. Although I was abit disappointed that there was no live rendition of Tea Leaf Dancers  (unless I missed it, then double  ). Seriously though, he never gets boring, I've lost count of how many times of caught his show and it never get that "heard it all before" feeling. I guess it's the nature of his performance that it never comes close to samey.

Kode and Mala both failed to disappoint, although it was getting abit blurry at that point for me

Managed to completely forget that Danny Breaks was gonna play, which is abit annoying, but heard on the wire that he played mostly Breaks and DnB so i'm not too distraught.

As for the venue, I bladdy loved it. Drinks weren't overpriced, although I did manage to get through quite a bit of cash. I did get quite messy by the end  I'd like to say it was good to have a smoke in the place but my still recovering throat won't let me.

Out to Pre-Thought Process and your boys, Ras G's bro, Ikonika, Optimum and Braiden.

Special super shout to the Skippler for the ride home, don't think I would of made it otherwise

ahhh yh that mix was baaaaaad! been a percy for a while - usually go for king in my empire though. not many nights that would take that down tempo stuff. great vibes. def in need of few more nights there considering they seemed highly lax about smoking :3:
who was that female vocalist that came on with flylo?. seemed to stand around, gave a little chirp and then flylo dropped a tune with a dutty bass n she scampered off  poor girl, she had my sympathy.
