Not impressed at all, but they are unfinished, so maybe they can be improved if they decide to go forward with them...

Nobody's worse than Autechre. They actually said in an interview that the reason they don't rate Burial is that "He's not that good a producer."

Honestly, how fucking delusional do you get to say something like that? He's not great, because he's not a good enough producer?"

Both these tunes are jsut increadible what ud expect, especialy the dark todd vibe one

not that im against burial critisism but i dont reli get how people dont like these tunes

seeing as this is dubstep forum maybe people should delve more into the proper roots of dubstep and get back into some EL-B and hoursepower beats rather than comparing great tunes like this to SHOCKINGLY CRAP and commercial dusbtep remixes of popular/commercial songs thinking thats what dubstep is about (i.e. disgusting synths put over basicly pop songs)......producers doing that should be ashamed.....a new crapy genre is to be born......popstep crap?

What happened with this tune? I had heard that it was going to be released some time in 2008. Is it ever going to be released?

he loves those detuned vocals, it's getting a bit repetitive if u ask me. lambeth is sick though, much more original yet still more of the same clunky drum goodness

I think some people are feeling that these tracks aren't as inventive as some of his stuff, but they remain very good bits of music. As I've stated, I love the untitled one, and now I'm starting to appreciate 'Lambeth'. The untitled one I listen to every day and one night even had it on loop for an hour. :o I don't remember ever doing that with any other music.

Both of these tunes are big. I've been listening to them daily since they were dropped on Benji B's show.

You mention Mantronix, are there any artists who excite you in a similar way, currently?

Erm, we’re usually a bit too absorbed to go buy loads of material. It’s interesting to just watch the scheme of things; nothing’s really happened to us, or for us, in the last 5-10 years. Real producers, producing things uniquely, like Basic Channel and their kind of think on dub and electronic house has been ripped lately, there’s more grime involved - Burial’s quite nice, but I think sometimes things gets an over-accolade.

Not as delusional as getting a quote completely wrong. This is what I love about net forums - completely baseless rumours passed off as fact. I actually know that Rob likes Burial a lot.

But what do I know. I'm just a "studio expert" without a creative bone in my body. LOL

Exactly. I think the Autechre comment is being misread, or over-read at any rate.
Burial’s quite nice, but I think sometimes things gets an over-accolade.
That's all that was said. Burial's my favourite musician ever, but I'm not going to get upset about their right to assert that opinion of theirs.
