I think there is someting to be said for SOME dubstep being too macho and putting off women -
but if you listen to Oneman/Chef/LD/Anti Social you know Girls would dance to it
I was at the last DMZ, there was a FEW girls there but it was a sausage fest -
I went to a local Reggae night and it was about 70% women
and the vibe in the dance was GOOD!
Part of the problem is that dubstep is marketed (through clubs/events/flyers) as Dark & Nasty, I cant imagine any girl looking at some of the flyers I have seen recently and going "yeah that looks like it will be fun"
Compare Dubstep flyers to Funky flyers - there is part of the problem

i don't really know many girls that like dubstep, it's allways been like that though, they prefer cheesy old skool or 80s pop music.

i've only been to dubstep nights in london. never really a shortage of women, course theres always more men.
I used to rave to jungle/d+b serious lack of women there!
