If there is new Burial(enough for a full release), they will milk it for it's own release because they know it's going to shift at least 10,000 units, whereas this 5x12" probably will sell half of that by the simple nature of multi disc releases not doing as well. Simply put, they'd be stupid business people if they did that. At least in my estimation.Uncle Bill wrote:Maybe there was nothing Burial wanted to contribute to it.danoldboy wrote:Anyone else find it pretty strange that there's no Burial on this? After all he is easily their most successful artist and arguably played a vital part (even just financially) in getting the label recognised and where it is today. Of course that's taking nothing away from Kode9 and his vision.
I think you are referring to the second disc, which is mixed I believe. I have no problem with a fair few of those tunes being out already. The first CD more than makes up for it.Surface_Tension wrote:If there is new Burial(enough for a full release), they will milk it for it's own release because they know it's going to shift at least 10,000 units, whereas this 5x12" probably will sell half of that by the simple nature of multi disc releases not doing as well. Also, those CDs look to contain a bunch of stuff that is already out on vinyl and sitting on a shelf in my studio :-\
