Does anyone know if the Burial feature is out there on the web anywhere? If so can someone link me to it.

If not,

fancy transcribing? ;-)

EDIT: Scratch that, found it. I remember it now, it is a good read. He talks at some point about ghosts with tesco shopping bags or someting along those lines.

yes there is mate, there is an unedited transcript of the article on the Wire Magazine website (which is like twice the size of the article in the magazine), i'll look it up for you ;)
Not gonna do it myself though, because I'm sure that wouldn't be accepted by The Wire, plus it's an article of like 3 full pages of text :P

Here it is mate:

Burial: Unedited Transcript.

And now The Quietus review:

Burial comparisons are rife but without any of the post-dubstep bullocks. Quite a good review I think.

really good! amazing writing! As for burial comparisons - they are both anonymous, both released on Hyperdub, both produce hugely emotive music/ are geniuses , are mates, play each others tunes etc so always gonna see comparisons imo...

Thought the pitchfork review was good as well to be honest, just cos its pitchfork and they mention post-dubstep once dont make it a bad review... definitely would have scored it higher tho personally, and they seem to imply that is has to be 'aimed' at a certain target market - it's just great music for music lovers imo..

Probably listened to the whole album 10 times through by now, at a time when there are new albums on my HDD i havent even listened to fully once yet

Exact same boat, I used to by The Source as a teen (I know, right) but it's been years for me.

What date does it come out, roughly?

It definitely is, I just don't really see how Pitchfork justify taking so much "points" from it. I get that it's not a 10/10 album but whatever.

I don't know if you lot watch this guy, but he has put me onto some fantastic music - http://www.youtube.com/user/theneedledrop - I anticipate his opinions on music moreso than most music publications. He pissed me off at first (the hipster glasses) but he really seems to get "music" as a whole, addressing most aspects of an album as a package regardless of genre.

Picked it up today. Good read indeed. Photos are particularly impressive I think. The more keen eyed will notice the LV bag mentioned in the other interview...
I know he says in past interviews that he fakes his press pics by pulling up pics of models or whatever but all of this new ones are undoubtedly the same guy (check wristwatch and haircut..... Christ I sound like a private eye...)

Loving dedication. He has really stepped out of a clique and just become a well rounded excellent electronic artist.

Big up!
