Exactly. I've spent my whole life ignoring the telltale signs that someone is a possible dead-end friend, or a deadbeat lover, maybe 'cause I wanted to see the good in everybody. The sad truth is that some people aren't going anywhere, and it's better to cut yourself free of their dead weight.
