@BevOh - since you say you haven't spent too long on it so far... what you do have sounds good but obviously from you said you're going to push it further, the basic rhythm of the wobbs sounds good tho. I think once you add more elements and background things to it your sound will be a lot more filled out

I played all the tracks starting from page 29 and wizeguy - untitled was the one I most liked. nothing to fix there, just finish it!

Wizeguy - Untitled: Digging it mate :U: Love the drum pattern and the soft synth lead, a very relaxing tune
Tipo Test: very nice garage house, love the old school vibe :W:
Challenging myself doing Neurofunk DnB with 3xOsc as main synth :)

@BevOh: I'd like to hear more drums and bass in the mix personally, the high pitched noises were stabbing my ears in these headphones haha! For only spending a little time on it it sounds pretty good to me. Definitely has potential if it was filled out with more, or just had more variety in sounds. Cheers!

@Tipo test: I like the openness of the intro, I'd like that kick to "drop" into the mix a bit harder for my tastes. It's got rhythm though man!

@Crow Stepper: Diggin the wobs and that kick is masssive! Not so much the melody of the track, but it fits with everything you have so far. Keep it up bruv!

@ninthy4: Holy shit bro, great production on this one! Builds up like a champ. Those drums really push the track whereas the synth keeps it spacey. That drop fits very nicely, Lazerbass much haha? Biggups!

my wip again: Soundcloud

Looking for some ideas to make the intro section more interesting. Goin to try some synth noises.

*edit: spelling :dunce:

@ anotherday - SICK! Can't really say much, I'm really liking it.
@ ninthy4 - Really liking it so far, IMO the snare gets a bit annoying though. Also cant give much else.
@ PaddyG - For the intro you could add some sparse hit hats, might sound nice. I don't like the sample at 1:02, kinda out of place. When it drops to silence at 1:48, I would make the bass that comes in a bit louder at first, then make it fade in a bit slower. I love the drop at 3.27, everything else is spot on. :W:
@ Bev Oh - I like the drums and the stabby laser synth, but the 'wah wah' bass that comes in a 1:17 sounds too high pitched and wimpy for my taste...

Here's my WIP, I'm experimenting with some downtempo/ambience.

oprs: like the intro man, those snares are a bit rough though, not digging them. very industrial sounding.

alexvont12: deep man, can hear lots of pads and stuff in there, I reckon if you could get a reese to fit in there somewhere it would sound nice!

PaddyG- I like the snare, and a nice sub! Quite punchy.

My WIP is in my sig.

@tipo test: nice one mate, honestly i'd say the same about yours everything sounds crisp and i like the oldskool vibe. good job

@ninthy4: thanks. sounding very good no criticism at all really, quality intro as well, maybe the snare was a bit to high but i wasn't listening through the best headphones

@PaddyG: from the drop i thought "yea thats sick" i would take them little vocals out they dont really fit the track and i dont like modern talking synth (if thats what it is)sorry but thats just me. as for an intro it sort of reminded me of dj fresh's floodlight for some reason so you could try doing something similar to that but with some cooler sounding voices obviously. or not even voices maybe built a similar illusion- just an idea

but personally i thought it was sick apart from them 2 things.

i'l post some more feedback this evening...

@ tipo test: The kick was a bit too weak for my taste, but the overall vibe of the track was really nice and smooth.

@ Crow Steppa: kick and snare were really good, the shaker/hat thingy however was a bit loud. And I found the space between the vocal sample and the drop a bit too long. Bur other than that nice track!

@ ninthy4: Just f**king incredible. I've got nothing to complain about.

@ alexvont12: Such a great mood. Really evokes emotions, well done!

I could use some more feedback on my new track. It's in my sig. ;-)

cheers for the feedback!

if you let me be honest, although practically all of the material posted here is well produced I just don't dig distorted wobbles... what's a good forum for finding housey garage (etc) demos?

@alexvont12: Diggin the use of hats in the intro, bass drum fits nicely as well. That clap is really loud! Was that intentional? Feels real nice and open, that clap definitely keeps the tempo goin man! Lovely pads.

@oprs: Intro sounds very electro, likin the buildup to the drop and wouldn't mind if it was more intense. I feel like the drop needs some extra sub bass man. Great samples.

@budsteq: Really really like that bass, with those drums it grooves nice. That low bass section! Give me more of that! Haha awesome. Something about that intro needs a change. Don't give away your bass sound before that drop! Biggups man.

@bRRRz: Great drums man, I like the different volumes. Massive buildup! Uggghhh that drop gets me messy, great use of distortion bruv. All the elements in the midsection blend well together. Awesome FX sounds too. I almost want a little more BD on this one. Great work.

@tipo test: Nice sounds man, really chilled. The only criticism is that the beats sound a little bit rigid. Try getting some swing on them to make them sound less quantized.
On your most recent one (medival): liking the synths a lot more, drums are still phat, dont like the little wobbly thing that comes in towards the end.

@Crow Steppa: I'm not up for the synth in the intro tbh. Drums sound pretty phat which is good. Your wob sounds a little generic IMO. Maybe drop it down an octave and get some real grit in there. Good otherwise though man.

@Ninthy4: Sick! That is fucken awesome all around. The only thing I don't like is the snare sound. The pitch envelope on it is a bit too obvious for me. Otherwise I'm well impressed.

@Alexvont12: Nice pads and stuff, but its just atmospheric really so theres not a lot I can say about it really. Sounds good though.

Aaaanyways, this is a little glitch hop thing I started a couple of days ago. Nearly finished, just a little unsure about the clarity of the mix.

@tipotest - haha, got a real early 90s dance vibe going there, digging it. If anything, I'd say a little automation on the side-chaining, and probably to the cutoff as well of that synth-pad, and you'd have a simple riff but a little more interesting. Keep at it!

@crowsteppa - some more variation on the intro synths would do some wonders. Not feeling the drums at all, something about them, doesn't really seem to fit. I think if the kick had a punchier low-range that'd fill out the drums a bit more. I'd also layer the snare with a few more samples, it's very light.

@ninthy - jesus you fuck around a lot (a good thing. haha). See you post a new wip every few hours (or so it seems :P). LOVE the intro synth. Reminds me of prodigy quite a bit. If anything, after the first 16 bars I'd vary it up a little, and possibly introduce another hat to pick it up a notch before the beat starts coming in, just to give it a more progressive feel and to keep the intro interesting. Drums overall are excellent, love the sample selection and the beat in general is tops. Drop is killer, but I think the bass needs a tad more top-end. Some of the twisty basses you have going on are perfect. Great stuff :) PS - didn't realize you were tek9, already following you (pHybian) :P

@PaddyG - introduce some more elements into the intro. Possibly even a dark pad would fit rather well. A few stabs also wouldn't go astray. Maybe even more percussion (hats or a regular ride would work). I honestly don't know why you bothered with the yoy bass, it doesn't fit at all =\

@alexvont - I'd kill the dubstep beat tbh. Pads/synths are on point, but the beat doesn't fit, despite the fact it's a little slower than 140 :P

@oprs - intro needs "more", found my interest waning after the first 16 bars. The bass faller is very nice however, I'd keep that in but vary it up. Drop is missing a lot of bass. A twisty bassline would fit rather well tbh. Snare needs some work also, not enough weight.

@budsteq - whole tune needs some variation in the note progression, as I found it flat. I'd give the snare/hats a little reverb. Hats sound like they already have some, so send the snare to the same bus so they all share the same "space". Biggest point though, is your bass note progression. Need some changes.

@brrrz - also needs more in the intro. Almost fell asleep. I know that sounds harsh - but doing the same thing for more than 4 bars loses it's appeal very quickly. Automate cutoff, notes, change up the percussion.etc. Just do something different. Riser is very nice, as well as the kick buildup. Bass at drop just shits me, simply because it sounds like massive. Take that with as little weight as it's meant, as it's a purely subjective view :P

@misterjack - super duper wobble-heavy, but I don't mind it too much, cos you've varied it when it matters, keeping it interesting. I'd add a few more elements in however, bass isn't enough :P

@edn - fuck yeah, glitch hop! :P Love the oriental vibe. If anything, I'd say the lack of a drop is it's biggest downfall. Violin/harp.etc. need some more variations.

Here's a tune I've been working on last few weeks - remix of a soon-to-be-released EP on Bass Hound records. Still got some tweaks and edits to do, looking for criticism on elements used, where some variations might be needed.etc.
