I'm going to pre-order and then leave it sitting on the side until I've moved into my new place... it's gonna be difficult not to unwrap that cellophane!
£25 at Tesco online;

From all the leaks online (even full game) it seems like a step back from IV and I hated IV.

Maybe he is a bit upset that there is no firm date for the PC version, I'm holding out for it.

No I just don't buy into the hype machine, Saints Row became a better GTA after Vice City anyways.
That and my massive sandbox of the year is ArmA 3

Saint's Row is 100% cheese. It's for kids imo.

R* is a hype machine. They have to be considering GTA:V has the second biggest budget for a video game of all time.

Agree to disagree, GTA originally was 100% cheese, it was only when it went 3d they started going the super serious route. Most console gamers don't remember the original top down GTAs (free downloads btw by R* and Retro City Rampage did a great homage to them and other games as well). Saints Row used to have a nice balance of serious to cheese before 3 and 4 as well.
R* does some damn great stuff so worth the hype, I just feel like from what I've seen and been leaked this is an uber hyped title with a lot of glaring flaws.
It's also a title that may cause me to buy a modern gen console finally, even though I know it's gonna come out on PC like 7 months from now.

And this doesn't make me a hipster it makes me fucking old unfortunately, I remember and actually bought a couple childhood sandbox games that outshined GTA and Saints Row back when

I love the genre for the hours of entertainment you can make yourself just R* seemed to lose the plot for me going the serious route in spite of me loving uber realism in titles like ArmA.
GTA 4 without mods I found to be an utter disappointment and so far it seems 5 is going that route.

I agree that GTA does get very boring, but theres no doubting that every GTA that has been released was/is miles ahead of any game released at that time. GTA invented the open world sandbox genre, why do you think the term GTA clone was invented?

No matter how bad you think it looks or how dissapointed it makes you, you cant say there has ever been a bad gta game, they are just better or worse than previous titles.

GTA is serious? You mean the dildo missions or the ridiculous radio station hosts?

I suppose the main story in IV was a slight departure from the rest of the series in that department, but the world itself is just as ridiculous as the previous entries in my mind.

Oh ya it's a game where you run around the city killing everybody like a psychopath. Until they remove that aspect I'll never see this game as serious.

I'm waiting for V on the PC myself. Not hyped enough for me to play on a console.
