Maybe looking at medals per person for every country would be interesting though.
I understand it's supposed to be kind of a battle of nations, but when you look at the numbers..
China -for example- has 1.3 billion people, whereas the Netherlands has around 17 million.

Then again India has like 4 medals up until now, with roughly 1 billion potential athletes

Its a matter of how important athletics are in your country. Also USA and China dominate women's sports. They win most everything

i just saw Hughs picture then what you said. I took it that you were saying that athletics were more important to America at that moment than paying respects to the victims of 7/7. Sorry if I misunderstood.
