the cozy feeling of being tucked in by your mommy. the genuine love, comfort, and warmth of being nurtured by the only one person who can emotionally, biologically, and instinctually do it right. something everyone craves at some point in their adulthood but will pretty much never experience again. it is weird because i think on some level once we lose the innocence associated with childhood, we all spend the rest of our lives trying to experience that comfort again in some form, usually via relationships. tryin to crawl back into the womb if you will .. we can find something similar within ourselves, but really nothing is safer than your mommy tucking you in.

my mom was a poor example. i live my life in stark opposition to everything she is. i will be and am an exemplary woman because of her, though not because of the natural progression that should have been.

edited to add: Going to visit her and the fam for the first time in about 7 years for Thanksgiving. Stress. Stress. Stresssssssssss. *sighs* I hope that goes well and doesn't end up in another 2 years of not-speaking.

the thought of going home tonight and having my bed to myself after sharing it with homeless girlfriends for the last two weeks makes me very happy.

edit: i don't mean that to sound mean, but i'm just over it. need a good night's sleep

I'm super turbo mega hyped today. Going on another date with that girl from work, taking her out for a nice bit of grub, and she's spending the night at mine. Yes yes yes.
