Yes, distort only certain frequencies. I understand how to use the frequency splitter, but it gives you control of threshold, not bands or a parametric curve. Would be nice to somehow have more control of the frequency splitting, unless im doing it wrong.

Source -> stereo imager -> solo low band output -> mixer / separate out high band -> distortion unit -> mixer

you can use multiple stereo imagers If you want split the bands more, start of by splitting the lows, then on the next imager split the low mid etc working your way up the frequencies.

just create a parallel chain and EQ it to taste before distorting it. Way more flexible than frequency splitting.

That's a shame man, I mean, Rob Pappen Predator / FET Compressors / stutter devices etc has really been a game changer for Reason.

Now there is a huge wave of CV manipulating tools which are making for very interesting LFOs, good times with Reason

I've already got all I need, as far as compression goes, the m class and the scream 4 are more than enough for me

Rob Pappen is bringing out a distortion RE device soon, will be interesting to see how it stacks up against Scream 4

Well in that case I can see why you aren't too interested in them, Pulsar is very cool used as an LFO and you can assign it to pretty much anything, there are a few new CV devices that are only $9 that make it very interesting when used with Pulsar

is it possible to record automation from my midi controller on more than one device at once? if that make sense?

Basically got two combinators with sequencers in them and i wanna record automation on both at the same time

If you can select both combinators at the same time you should be able to do it. I dont think you can though.

worked it out, press the "automation" button by the solo track button (both should be red) if anyones wondering

i make a combinator patch for a dimensional expander would love some feedback
