what i do by now jsut save your reece any way possible or any sound you dig
save it as the preset and with the chain
save the wav too theres always this moment a few month later where you might wanna use that sound again in a totally different environment

yep i do it too, especially good to try the same chain on different sounds later on and sometimes it works really well. the mid range in one of my most played tunes i made by using an old sound with the chain from a sound i was working on, somehow sounded really sick :cornlol:

Think i've given feedback to everyone anyone i missed let me know. Really high quality from everyone!
BudSpencertron wrote:@mason
nice drums good punch. maybe a tiny sth on top of the snare? short crackle or smooth clap .works either way. could feel a long reverb as a send mildy worked into parts of the drums really smooth in the back
the guitar works really nice the bass you dont even realise which is a good thing it just helps out the groove dig it :Q: no trickery
maybe some moments where you drop the hi hats abit or a dif rythm in a few parts?
guitar works well together did you sample or record in layers? either way like it the panning too
not sure though if you might need sth to make it stick out some talking? some more ambience? the end this dark melodie bring it in as a break or even a part with jsut that and the sub would really like to hear that
Cheers man appreciate the feedback, yeah it's all sampled been solely sampling recently makes everything much quicker haha.

may i ask why you moved from your dubstep sound for this one (had a quick listen threw your soundcloud :oops: many dsf´s keep there sndclds a secret lol)
but yeah you wanna move away from dubstep overall or just mix it up

@noways
nice tune man, really dark. nice textures and cuts.That operatic voice is lovely. Percussion is real nice, well mixed. bit on the short side. Like other people have said the rythm is a little clunky, like maybe could be swung a little less at times.

@dubunked nice atmosphere, those pads are lush, maybe could be turned down a bit or highshelved. Quite a lot of reverb on the percussion, it doesnt sound bad, but if your turned iit down a little it might give the tune a little more space to breathe. Those wubs are nice and dark. It might just be me but i'm craving some sort of legato bassline toward the end, like something less choppy.

@bud
1 trappy beat. yeah i like it dude, cool vocal chops. feel like those hats could be a bit higher in the mix (this being trap and all,) also i reckon some of those signature 1/2 to 1/3 hat rolls would go down well. That purpley melody that comes in in the first part of the second drop is really nice, i'd like to hhear more of that. Also maybe the bass could do with being a bit saturated just to bring it out but nice tune

2 house plinguin nice vocals again, you kraftwerk fiend... Really sick when they come in at the end. Yeah some high hats would be a nice touch, and then maybe no snare?! haha, i dunno. Nice grrove anyway

3 mammaries. Yeah agree with dub, I reckon the bass could be brought up in the mix a bit. lush pads and atmospherics, really nice. burial esq. I much prefer the lower pitched vocals to the high ones, but thats just personal preference i think. never been much of a fan of the chipmunk...

4 mint. nice atmospherics and pads, the percussion is really nice too, althogh maybe high pass that snare a bit less. That lead at the beginning is a bit bright to me or maybe just a bit too much portamento or something. Progression is good, like the delayed stabs

@m8son liking this man. That droney bass is really nice, gives this an interesting feel. wish you'd made more of that guitar bit at the end. I like that a lot. The beat does feel a little slow and almost too deliberate though, maybe some speedier percussion, or a few more kicks here and there would sort that out. I reckon some of the guitar might be a bit quiet too

@kalli haha, madness. reminds me a bit of dj shitmat. cool glitches and whatnot. I'd like to hear a bit more of the amen coming through though, like a little more cohesively. but then breakcore has always confused me... so i'd take that lightly!

there it is, quality tunes this week! looking forward to next week already. Sorry if i've been harsh, i've really been trying to pick holes

Ok here's my latest:

Hope you can see that nwj. Easily the most amazing piece of music I've ever encountered, let alone made. I'm flabbergasted that it came out of me. I sent a rough draft to Bonobo earlier last week and he asked me for some pointers. I would have posted it on Saturday but I had to wait to see if it was okay with a few labels that wanna sign it.
