Would have been the same reaction if it wasn't snoop dogg millionaire and it was just the original, so you can't take that reaction as being...'omg dubstepforum are talking shit everyone LOVES snoop dogg millionaire'.
Chase and status actually played the original rewound it then played the snoop dog and then mixed into the vip so all three were played and all three were enjoyed

Example Magazine has been watchin this thread for days now. and has decided its finally time to post on it. On Saturday one of our photographers was at CHIUBUKU's 9th BIRTHDAY @ NATION in Liverpool. Present at what is apparently the first time the Snoop dogg millionare track was played in a club. And contrary to what everyone on here would expect the whole club literaly erupted the room went mad and the tune was reloaded. Is Dubstep forum maybe a seperate scene of its own which is completely detached from whats actually happening in the clubs

This made got me so het up I actually registered, I normally just watch from the sidelines.

Chibuku birthday is not an accurate representation of the nights that people on this forum...people who actually "like" dubstep go to. The crowd that supposedly "went mad" were nowhere to be seen when kode 9 was on. The room would probably errupt if you played this at mood, or garlands or whatever. It's more the case that this tune is detached from the dubstep scene.

From where I was standing everyone was either too fucked to dance, covering their ears or waiting til that "sick toooon with plan b comes on" anyway.

So to say that dubstep forum is detached from the clubs is ridiculous...I can't imagine if this is played at Pace Yourself on Thursday you'd get the same reaction.

Probably my first and last ever post...just know that people in Liverpool aren't all plebs.
How can u say that 1200 people at a dubstep night are not an accurate representation of people who enjoy dubstep.
????

They all paid their money and they all came to see those acts that were on and they all knew the tunes. Kode 9 played a boring set in a pitch black room no wonder people werent dancing. Our photographer will be at ape in manchester this friday and chase and status are playing again. I gurantee they will play the snoop dogg tune and i gurantee it will go off. If you think that the reaction of people to dubstep is unimportant then youre the exact sort of person who will bring dubstep to its knees not chase and status who if anything are actually bringing more money into dubstep. Which cant do it any harm.

i'll go and join kode 9 in his dark little room with his boring music and all the real dubstep fans can wig out to chase and status and snoop

i can't believe the way this thing is getting people going

the thing that shocks me most is that people are still imbuing dubstep with this sense of underground purity... as if it hasn't already been heavily exposed and subsequently swamped

for what its worth i prefer this version, it makes the tune slightly less obnoxious to me

I still think it was more to do with them loving the original and being happy it was played 3 times than being 'omg this just got even better, snoop dogg is rapping over it'.

Stick those lyrics over a lesser known tune and I doubt anything would be going nuts.

Nice backhand lol

OMG if I'd heard the original then the snoop dogg version THEN the VIP I'd have been waving my glowstick in the AYAH like a total RUDEBOY
