500 a month ain't too shabby, I'd love to have my rent taken care of! If you want to scale up maybe make another blog? You'd have to weight the effort vs rewards of having a new blog or continuing to gain followers. You could also do some backlinking to try to bring in some search engine traffic.

Monthly, it seems to average out at about $100/100 followers. I wish I could crank up to 1000 followers to see if I'd be making G's... Time to light the fire I guess!

making another blog, you essentially start from scratch all over again, and have to start doing double work. It would work but I don't really like the idea of starting over. Plus, when I see two blogs on someones profile, I only ever follow the most active one.

seriously though, having at least 1-2 posts per day is just as crucial as commenting, even if it's a picture of a cat or a sweater or a pair of bollocks, as long as you have something up for people to click on. the community doesn't really take vacations too kindly, if you miss just one day your impressions / comments will suffer. I used to take weekends off, but then I noticed that the views would drop off sharply on monday, then grow to friday, and then drop off sharply again the next week. after doing it every day it just gets bigger every day.

I gotta start writing posts one week in advance, have a bunch in the clip. No more of this single shot bullshit. Then I won't have to worry so much about where today's post is gonna come from. Stockpiling content, chea!

If I was gonna start another blog, I'd make another profile. Twice the commenting work but you wouldn't have the problem of people only visiting one of your blogs.
