Well they already hated/feared the power of the UN. This is like dynamite for those people. Honestly think there is a better chance that election monitors from the UN would be shot and killed before they were arrested.
However, the sad fact
is that we could use real and true election monitors in the states. Our national democracy has massively faltered in the past 20 years to the point where I think you could legitimately ask if there is any kind of democracy happening at all. And the whole time, the Syrian people did not head our calls for help, and left us unarmed, unorganized, against brutal rulers who stripped our rites away (the most important, likely, being habeas corpus) and incarcerated the most number of people on the planet.

Now, now, you are just being hysterical. Take some laudanum and get back into the kitchen.*

So funny that the repub platform says that if a woman wants to become pregnant by IVF she can't, but if she becomes pregnant by rape she must keep it.
Really wish the repubs would take congress and the presidency, cept for the fact that I'd loose my insurance and likely die.

Have a horrible feeling Romney is going to come through and win this, by hook or by crook.

Hey I'm a vet and that's my health insurance, they both seem to want to cut spending to that. Thankfully the outpatient clinic here is actually pretty good.

Under Barry O, you can buy insurance for $6k a year, under Romney you can have nothing. Either way.

It'd just be nice if insurance wasn't tied to employers, as much as I like the VA for my health coverage I'd prefer seeing my old private physician. Joys of self employment.

Absolutely redic that it has been tied to employers. It is like the only way you can buy food is from your employer. Disgusting. Not calling it slavery, but it leans well into that spectrum.

Or you know they could price medical care and pharmaceuticals reasonably so insurance wouldn't be an absolute necessity with how outrageously marked up everything is...

Said it before, say it again, I spent 3 hours in the er at the start of this year. Blood test, lay in bed, and a ctscan: $12k. That's $4k an hour, saw a doctor for a total of 5 minutes, nurse for under 10 minutes.
