First appearance for Jonas Lion in the FOB Show !
The man has now a solid reputation in Belgium so am happy to have him in the today's radio session.

"Jonas Lion is the co-curator of the Level.01 record label and dance nights in Antwerp. His dj sets are a journey between house, techno, hip-hop and dubstep but all with a twist. Going from 120bpm to 140bpm in a single set is custom and not an exception. With several bookings across Europe and Tomorrowland in the near future, this is definately a guy to watch out for!

Additional info: Jonas Lion (pronounced the french way) is my actual name. I'm 22 years old and I'm currently residing in Antwerp and Ghent. I organize the Level.01 parties with the guys from Untitled! in Antwerp (already had Oneman, Boddika, Ben Westbeech, Jackmaster, Deadboy, Koreless, GoldFFinch, Redinho over this year). We also started a digital label, only one release far (http://soundcloud.com/level-01-recordings) but with a exciting second one on the way in June with Orwell (an Antwerp Techno duo). I'm also playing in Tel-Aviv (19th may) and Helsinki (two times on the 25th may) soon. I also played a few times in Germany (amongst which Berlin) last year".

Illament (aka Skillament) is now a regular guest in the FOB Show.

"Illament is a 19th year old dj from Leuven. He discovered jungle and drum n bass troughout is brother and bought his first few records.
After a year or 2 his musical interest couldn’t be pleased anymore by drum n bass and he switched to dubstep.
His interest in dubstep is still gaining with the huge variety nowadays in the dubstep scene. He tries to incorporate all of the “sub”genres in his sets representing: “heavyweight”, purple, experimental, future garage etc…

This week the show might be pretty eclectic.
Some different tempos and vibes might be proposed.
First of all our guest this week Skar said he gonna play some 2-Step, Grime and Early Dubstep.
Then myself BunZer0 got new tunes to rep from 120 to 170 bpm, so I'll see what I can build up with all that

"Vinyl disciple since his childhood, Skar started behind the decks with Hip Hop acts in 2001 and then enlarged his playlists with Dancehall, Reggae, Dub, Jungle, Drum & Bass and IDM.
He's a member of Subversive Sounds and Crewstacé, two affiliated DJs/Producers/Promoters crews based in Namur, Belgium.
He discovered UK Bass music in 2004 through Planet-Mu and Rephlex compilations.
He also owns a radio show called Subversive Broadcast on RUN 88.1 since 2005, which influenced more and more his selections towards electronic musics such as Dubstep, Grime, House, Electro, Techno and related sub-genres."

About Phonetics :

"Im a dj born and raised in Brussels (Belgium). I bought my 2 first records at Doctor Vinyl when I was 11 and I have been in love with records ever since. The first question people ask me when I say I am a dj is what kind of music I play. Its really hard to answer that question but mostly i say 'Bass' on one side and pretty much everything else (Hip Hop, Disco, House, Funk, Soul Rhythm and Blues, ...) on the other side. That doesn't really help them forward i geuss but yeah, there is just to much good music to stick to one genre.
You could describe my Bass side as Dubstep, Grime, UK Garage, UK Funky, Hip Hop, House, Ghetto tech, Booty, Juke and everything inbetween. The boundaries of those genres aren't really defined, which basically means that I play whatever I like. I hate explaining what I play so I think the best thing is to download my mixes, come to the parties or check out my blog."
