I would sit on one book until I was finished and borrowed another. I probably read 50-70 books in one year (the whole collection at the library). I rarely did homework or probably just did mediocre so I can read. I also read Nancy Drew but wasn't into it as much (didn't finish whatever the library had). There were (a lot more) power outages in the Philippines back then that would go through the night and to the next day. It was the warmest, most comforting time to read. I'd race the candle as it burnt to the end of the wick. I moved on to Filipino comics after, which I followed religiously every week. I'd go to this comic/magazine stand and they would let you rent to read there so there would be 20 kids in a tiny area with several benches glued to their comic books. Anywho, feeling nostalgic right now.

Just noticed this was available on Steam. I'm not sure I ever actually got round to completing it.
