i personally don't rate a lot of his tracks for that reason. alpha was ok, it was definitely sub heavy. that four claps tune sounds like shit. bullets sounds crap and that bassline sounds god awful... leave it to commodo for that sorta thing. and the dem a talk remix was good, worked nicely even if it was simple.
i did read somewhere that compa used headphones for making his tunes and didn't even have monitors. don't know if that is the case still

I think Compa's more recent releases have been pretty good. The wxwl label is putting out some good stuff too, I'll for sure be copping that Exodus remix
