Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention SOME are still there. It's just a large handfull of my favorite plugins that are inaccessible.

Ok, I got it. And have no idea what the problem was. But, by chance, this most recent rescan did the trick. Perplexing..

Hello people, Im new to production so I dont know that much about it, learned some things but still have a long way to go so,
my question is: I constructed a sample in one track. Now what I want to do is to put reverb on one copy of the sample I've got, in the same track. I only want that sample to be reverb'ed. So I tried to do that, but then I ended up reverbing all the samples in the track. Is there a way to get around that or do I have to make a different track to put reverb on that particular copy of the sample?

Cheers guys, have a good one

IDK if theres any smarter way but you could just automate the on/off on the reverb to turn on when you need it and off when you dont.

and turn it ''off'' when the feedback is at 0. or else it will just chop off the reverb (if it's still reverbing')

Hello again,

I sadly have to say there is an issue in Ableton thats pretty damn bothering me again. Now what I did was made a track to put all samples in I had, and then resample them. This was done by recording parts first in other tracks and then copy pasting them into the main sample track. Now what now happened is that I recorded some samples, and when I try to copy paste the damn thing will copy but not paste in the main sample track, but it does so anywhere else. Now Ive tried to copy all the files into a new project and start over from there. But the funny thing is, even there it wont let me copy paste.

All help would be appreciated a lot

It looks like you're trying to paste a midi clip into an audio track which isn't possible unless you freeze the midi track first. Once it is frozen, the midi is automatically converted to audio clips which you can then drag/copy/paste onto a new audio track.

yup.

if i wanted to have that bit of audio in track 7 then i'd set track 7 to record the output of track 6, or you could do flex vectors suggestion of freezing and moving over. either will work.

OR

if you're doing alot of bits like this. i'd set up an audio track as a "scrap" track, set it to resampling. then anytime i needed to record anything off i'd solo it and record off in the scrap track and then move to wherever it needs to be.

And again thanks @flex vector symmetricalsounds :]

It really makes sense though, why it could be copied first and why not, wish I had thought of it!

I must say, learning Ableton through asking questions is a lot more intuitive and helpful than the manual

So I have been using my friends Ableton (which he burnt for me) on a trial basis. I dont agree with stealing, but I'm going to 'test drive' anything thats I'm going to be spending a couple of hundred quid on.

Anyway, its keeps on lagging even though my system requirements exceed those required and Im also running AISO and quicktime. Is this possibly a problem with using a 'cracked' version?

^It could be, probably is. I've had problems with it crashing every 30 seconds and then I bought the Suite.
