Anyway: Gulpener Limburgs Land, Westmalle, any Chouffe and Karmeliet. Although Karmeliet has a really weird taste to it, I believe
they add oats.

English ales, European beers of all flavours, American IPAs and dark beers... Yes. I love beer so much I volunteer at CAMRA ale festivals. It's fun and you get to try all the beers for free.

Everyone who likes ale in London should get their asses to the Southhampton Arms:
1. 8 ales
2. ~12 ciders
3. Takeaway 4-pint flagons at the same price as beers drunk there
4. Right next to Hampstead Heath
5. 4 kinds of pork pie, roast pork baps, cheese baps, sausage rolls
6. A pint is only 2.70 - about as cheap as it gets in London for good beer (Sam Smiths is alright).

I think there's much better American IPAs than that. Titan IPA is available in the UK, but the very best one I've had is by Peak Organic brewing in Oregon. So good.

Think they're largely over hyped. They go for a lot of gimmicks.

However. Their beer called Edge is seriously good.

Yeh i had it again recently and was definitely not as good as i remembered... kinda regret posting it, as now i'd prefer Sam Adams' straight lager over it..

but i'm a dedicated Russian River, Stone, and Sierra Nevada man now... the pale ale powerhouses

Never had it, some of my friends drunk it and say it's good.

If one of you beer-fans is in Brussels, you should go to the Delirium Cafe. It's close to the Rue des Bouchers. (I wouldn't be able to find it though)
Their beer-cart counts over 2000 beers. So if you want to try some beers, it's the place to be.

i've always wanted to try delirium stuff but it's always like $15 for a pint and a half, and has probably been sitting on the shelf for 3 years because of that

also nils you need to have a Trappist Westvleteren 12 and tell me what it's like... you have to... i hear it's the heaven of beers

One of my mates once had a Westvleteren, he said it isn't that good.
I'm not a big fan of trappisten though.

This is extremely true. They serve all the beer (including halves) in old man style panelled tankards, too. And you get people playing jazz on the piano from time to time.

Definitive sunday afternoon activity = go for a wander on the Heath then a pint at the Southampton Arms.
