TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!
WELL ROUNDED 007 : ALL VINYL SPECIAL with GEIOM!!
GEIOM (Berkane Sol)
somewhat of a hero of ours, Geiom has relentlessly pushed boundaries since his first releases in the mid-90s.
He located a wider audience when his own musical experiments found a home within the original more open-ended dubstep sound. This was in no small-part due to Kode 9 featuring his 'Overnite Biscuits' on the third Tempa Dubstep All-stars mix CD in 2006.
Geiom then also appeared on the 2nd volume of Soul ...Jazz's pivotal Steppas' Delight compilations with the sultry vocals of Marita on 'Reminissin''.
Since that time his own label Berkane Sol has maintained a commitment to style innovation with releases ranging from his own honey-dipped funky influenced 'Sugar Coated Lover' smash across to Hizatron's bugged out tech-house gem 'Von Gloopenstein'. Other hi-lights include the deep driving techy dubstep of Geiom & Appleblim's 'Shreds' collaboration across to the ragga-carnival vibes of Geiom alter-ego Hem's 'On a mission' featuring much-loved MC Terrible Shock which reflects the easy musical multi-culturalism that extends from the men's backgrounds.
So much colour, invention and flava - expect the very same from his set for us here!!!
DONGA (Well Rounded)
Donga runs the label Well Rounded, possesses a beard and likes nothing more than to stretch out in the mix from the finest House music towards Funky, Garage, Broken and beyondwards
ALEX & CARL (Nightmoves)
These guys warm-up in the right way - by retracing and connecting contemporary dance music to it's soulful roots with Boogie, Disco, Rare Groove, Soul, R&B, Hip Hop & Reggae all potentially on the menu. Their ear for future classics is also sharp and in evidence!
SEAN DUBLOKE & STICKIE DAVIS (Simply Vinyl)
Two of the most commited and energetic djs regularly cropping up at Brighton's best nights. Either on the dancefloor or behind the decks, these guys know how to bring the vibe to the party. Likely to be playing Garage, Grime and decent Dubstep - though as ever at Well Rounded, the musical handcuffs are off!!
£5 all night

Visionist is gonna be our first guest at AKA AKA ROAR's new monthly night in Brighton, which aims to showcase the best up and coming DJ and producer talent.
Visionist is a producer and DJ from London who is a member of the We Are Dubist crew, although you may know him as Mr 67 from the Boiler Room. Oneman has been championing the talented producer and has signed Visionist for a release on his record label, 502 Recordings. His unique take on bass music has clear influences from juke, garage, house and dubstep... just don't try to pigeonhole his sound!
See you down the front
