I also go by the name THIRTYFOUR which is something I do with a friend, Mainly sampled/filter hiphop.

This is rather clever since my name is Adrie (in dutch it means A-3) and his name is Olivier (which means Oli-4) so yeah, 19 + 15 = THIRTYFOUR.

I am sure multiple people out their all over have the same name as me "Subside" but that doesn't bother me. I picked this name because the word Subside means to settle down, decline, become quiet and so on. To me this was perfect because playing/producing music is my way of settling down and subsiding from from the bad things in life if that makes sense. Also it is the only name I could think of that really stuck to me and that I didn't second guess right away.

mine is a bit macabre.. but do not care :"D

Alright, i was reading this book, and there was spoken about some african black magic thing called: "Muti"

To preform that kind of black magic, you need to cut off people's body parts (limbs, y know, head, etc.) to use for the ritual, but seems to work best,
if the body part (specially the head) is sawn off the victims body when he/she is still alive.
if you buy it from someone, it seems to be a little goldmine aswell, so enough motives to kill people know if you believe in this crazy african magic.

tho, i found "Muti" sound pretty stupid.. i just changed the I into an A.

Cheers.

I'm in this other internet group called the Clock Crew, and in there there's this guy called mrSimon, who makes nice musics. Then, about a year ago, I remembered there's another music producer-type guy called Mr. Oizo, who made "Flat Beat" which is a great song. So then I was like "hey maybe I should have a name that's also a 'Mr' and some foreign word", and the foreign word I chose was the Dutch word for cookie. The end.

I needed an email adress in 97. Was my first one, so I spent a few days coming up with something good. I wasnt a DJ yet, although I wanted to start, but I didnt want to go by "DJ" until I was legit. I almost went with Psylogic cause I like how it rolled off the tongue, but I also wanted to be an MC (I was a singer in a band in highschool), so I kinda wanted something that would work as an MC name. I started thinking back to old hip hop and back in the day there were three main prefixes if you were a hip hop artist - MC, DJ, and Kid (Kid Creole, Kid Capri, etc). I called everyone "kid" instead of dude or bro at the time, so it seemed like an obvious choice. Seemed only natural to use it as a DJ name when I started a few months later.

Been thinking about changing it or coming up with an alias or two, but I cant ever come up with something I dont think Ill laugh at a few months later.

Sharkhawk and Mountain Man are two aliases I kinda like right now.
Sharkhawk cause, well, say it out loud  and because who would fuck with a Sharkhawk? Are you kidding, a flying shark?
Mountain Man cause of a series of books my dad used to read when I was in high school that were like romance novels but westerns and with less romance and more killin. You did not fuck with Mountain Man, or Mountain Man would KILL YOU. Mountain Man didnt need no nothin from no body.

Ill probaby never settle on something new though... Ive been KidLogic for 13 years now, its like second nature. As far as I know, theres only ever been 4 KidLogics not counting the defunct punk band from the early 90s. There was a house DJ who seems to have dissapeared before I started, a dude in the UK who was in the middle of changing from KidLogic to Bobby Wotnot when I found him and contacted him (just to say whatup to a fellow KidLogic) and a new one who just started popping up that obviously doesnt know how to use Google. He's kinda bummin me out, gangsta rapper wannabe selling bad hip hop beats just as Im getting back into making hip hop beats myself. Seriously, google KidLogic and I come up first, I even beat out a chain of childcare centers that shares my name, not hard to find me anymore. Im tempted to write him a stern letter.
