Yeah, I've had them for years and have done me a good service! I know quite a few people that have them and they seem to like them too!charliefoy wrote:Those Alesis monitors? Any good?
They seem to be good for the price. How much did you pay for them? Seen them around for about £250jam1 wrote:Yeah, I've had them for years and have done me a good service! I know quite a few people that have them and they seem to like them too!charliefoy wrote:Those Alesis monitors? Any good?
To be honest, it was that long ago (5 or 6 years at least) I can't remember! I can't imagine at that point I would have paid much more than what they are going for now...charliefoy wrote:They seem to be good for the price. How much did you pay for them? are they MR8's but with a different logo rather than Mackie?panleft wrote:Quite minimal. Few decent bits of kit. The monitors are too large for the size of my room but got a really good deal on them so not too worried.
my neighbours hate me since i got them...tough sh** tho lol eq'ing subs is sick on em, they dont budge...just ruin everything in my room!panleft wrote:Yeh they are mate. I think they're really good monitors! I've compared them to the Mackie 824 MK1 & MK2 and they are on the same level in my opinion. Although in acoustic perfect rooms the 824's are probably going to be better.
I Had to get a pair of decent headphones for day to day producing and final mix downs...the bass shakes my whole house otherwise!!
That set up is raw!panleft wrote:Quite minimal. Few decent bits of kit. The monitors are too large for the size of my room but got a really good deal on them so not too worried.
