A quick definition of ego finds that "Ego is the self, as distinct from the world and our selves". If you create a new self that is even more distinct from the world and other selves, and your egotism balloons to astronomic proportions, your ego has grown, you haven't gotten rid of your ego, ffs.
I mean the fact that you started shouting over the internet is just... I just don't really have any words to describe this degree of misguidedness.
