So Skrillex was in From First to Last.. It's probably that entire screamo fanbase buying up all his stuff on Beatport.
touring with deadmau doesn't hurt either

or team sleep, or any of the countless other big tours FFTL were involved in.
dude developed a big fan base on his own merit. Not sure why anyone needs to chime in and hate on the dude.
like the tunes or not, his production quality is MUCH better than 90% of the garbage floating around regardless of sub genre.

i have a sneaky suspicion hooking up with the mau5 is why is production is so clean
honestly brilliant on him to cash in on his previous fame and fanbase
still don't get the big deal bout him as the tunes just sound like generic disposable dancefloor fodder to me

I love his collabo with 12th planet on Needed, his Scary Monsters and In for kill tracks rock too, the rest are too electro for me

Or the fact he recorded multiple studio albums, likely in studios far superior to that of your average dubstep producer, and has experience with producers far superior to that in dubstep? Ross Robinson produced one of their albums which is probably about as valuable an experience as one could have.

yea but he also had some edm stuff up after said albums that don't sound anything like his current production
honestly had never heard of the guy or the bands till a few weeks back so did a quick homework check
