i'll have to tip my hat to them. that is some next level wool-over-the-eyes shit

would definitely explain why assange seems to just tapdance around the CIA, not to mention the fact he's still alive...

smelly knelly has his eye on the ball

basically the fact that it is such an obvious smear suggests to me that we are supposed to know it's a smear, and therefore take everything he's saying as gospel truth

and to sympathise with him, which lulls us into a false sense of security

well most people take it pretty seriously I imagine. American's aren't too acquainted with what Interpol was designed to do.

Still, saying the government is behind wikileaks is like saying the jews were behind the holocaust.

you also have to appreciate that if any of what this assange guy was saying was actually harming any of the western govs, it would not be getting half as much of the media attention as it is getting now
cos as we all know, those who control the governments control the media also :D

Well assange himself isn't saying anything, he's just a scapegoat for this organization he's created. He's just passing along information handed to him. The aim isn't necessarily to "harm" governments directly, it's just meant to be a source of information to be used in news articles and such.

And the established media has been lapping up the government's rhetoric and are clearly opposed to this, the pussies.

as i've said before, all Wikileaks is, is a public whistleblowing operation, identical to the whistleblowing that goes on behind closed doors

journalists have been privy to these sorts of information for as long as newspapers have been 'free' press... whats happening now is that it is being exposed a little more transparantly

more than likely some of the information will have been relayed through dark governmental tunnels with some political agenda attached, just as much as some of it will be some joe bloggs who has access to a load of files he can take, photocopy and anonymously send to wikileaks just as before, he would have sent it to 'the guardian' or some other paper.

keep pulling the sweater...

oh and whenever a story gets pushed this hard i always wonder: whats the REAL story that they dont want people latching onto?

similar to The Sun having a story about Africanised Bees on the front page whereas the latest war-time casualty figures slip to page 19, between the d-list celebrity opening a supermarket and the crossword
