seriously though, it's very true. sites like facebook and twitter may make music available for people but in a very different way; and souncloud has connected producers, DJs, labels, fans and people who buy music and had an impact on dubstep and music in general that can't be underestimated

soundcloud also made an effort to get opinions and suggestions from the users of dsf when it was starting out so it's not just some faceless entity that has no links with the forum http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=52925

having said that, perhaps next year (assuming we can be bothered dealing with the inevitable hassle) we can make a separate award for blogs or something along those lines

if there really are some people who dont have opinion in at least 8 categories, i think it would be better that they dont vote at all, because they obviously aren't qualified.

we hardly got 10 serious nominations (1 category) this year altogether.

thats exactly why soundcloud is there (because we didnt have enough blogs/magazines with more than 5 nominations.)

sorry but, who are you or anyone to say who should be "qualified" to vote and who shouldn't be? get off the soapbox for a minute, and recognize that our community is made up of people that are brand new to the sound, as well as old and very familiar with the sound. thats just the reality of a community made up of 50,000 members. there's absolutely no way that everyone would be clued into all aspects of the nominees, and vote knowing every aspect about each category.

we're not electing heads of state FFS! this is a music forum, and we're voting on music categories! stop trying to make a storm in a teacup. if these awards have got you this emotional, then its time to reevaluate.

wow! at least this gives me some form of comfort and reassurance... I don't want to be a prig who knows it all, but this tune simply beats everything. I live abroad in Austria where a great deal of people have no contact with dubstep. In fact they hate it, but when I played this to them all went quiet.

I also agree with those who feel that v.i.v.e.k has been left out, his feel it ep and mediation rock on deep medi are seriously good!
