It''s ok. They have a 4 page spread, 2 pages of which are interview then 2 x 1 pages on creating certain elements of a tune (can't remember which off the top of my head).

Good boxout section about their snare sounds though - they went to a local wood and hit a decaying tree trunk with a stick and recorded it on a mobile phone. As the wood was dying, it decayed and broke up more with each hit, together with all the natural reverb that went with it.

Have been breaking and recording sticks all day today. Looks like a very angry beaver tore my place up. Something unsavory about large diaphragm condensors and dusty wood bark in the same place.

Didn't Burial do something very similar to that? Like hiting a tree with a big log, for a kick or something?

Sooo, can someone upload that video for me?
Or send it to me? I'm willing to pay for it :)
Is there even a store which sells this magazine and allows paypal payments?
I just hate the fact that I ALWAYS need a fckin credit/debit card when I wanna buy something in the UK.

Found the masterclass very interesting. Was nice to get an incite on how they approach making music.

Safe guys too!

Hah, I know right. :)

It's pretty long winded but I make about 100 fake soundcloud accounts and post comments on my own tracks. Makes me look good. 8)

Much thanks (:

Yes! They're using Ableton. Atleast I'll know what's going on this time.

again, another waste of time from computer music:

5 mins of talking about hitting things off trees.

getting a genuine 128kbps sound rather than a fake digital(wtf??) 128kbps.

saturation on every single thing.

then more saturation on the master.

some ambient crackle shitty noises

skip how the bass was made, done on the virus earlier so who cares about the interesting part.

assign lfo to cutoff on kontakt

always cut at 500hz?? on the master? theres nothing useful there apparently. i don't get it.

then lets put an eq on the master and mess with the whole track, rather than eqing the individual elements better.

suffice to say i didn't learn much from this video.
