“No, I didn’t like that. I thought it was bullshit. Those guys are total fakes. Real ravers can tell the people who get it and the people who don’t, and trust me: Chase and Status weren’t there. When we were 13, me and my mates were watching Fantazia videos in 3D glasses; we were covering our bedroom walls with flyers and memorising sets from tape packs that we copied and passed around school. Making music as a dedication to that era should be based on real adoration for those records — on a total immersion in that scene. It’s a chance to feel connected, like you’re carrying the last glow stick — and a proper glow stick from Dreamscape, not some tie-in high street bollocks.”
:? 'real ravers' were at fantazia, not sat in their bedrooms listening to fantazia tape packs

3/100? to each their own yea
to be fair, the tunes i do like, i REALLY like. the rest just seem like a mess of arpeggio, 8 bit, and compressed kicks

i imagine a lot of good producers have a ton of throw away tunes in the back room, but they don't go releasing them.
I don't hear much appeal in a lot of his output. It's like when producers go through the "let's sample video games!!!" / lofi experimental phase. Add to the fact that he seems like a total jeb end who's mastered the art of lip service, he's a bit lost on me. I guess he's a bit like Skream in that he's prolific in his output but not very consistent. It's probably near impossible to have both. Saying all of this I do find him strangely interesting to read about, probably more interesting than his music.

For some top class reading with the master of polite forum etiquette I recommend:

Zomby's BITING IN DUBSTEP post - http://www.dubstepforum.com/topic17188.html

Zomby's 'MEMORIES' E.P, DIGITAL RELEASE http://www.dubstepforum.com/zomby-memor ... 23959.html
WOW some seriously embarrassing stuff in there. Somewhat taints my opinion of him...
