To answer your question.
A dubplate is a piece of circular metal covered in acetate. It is designed to be a suitable size for play on a vinyl turntable. This acetate can be used to record a track onto via the use of an acetate cutting machine, allowing the user to play the said track on any standard turntable.
within the dubstep scene the words dub and dubplate are often used in tracklistings to represent any track which is either unreleased or unsigned.

ANyone starting relevant discussions on here always gets bashed in some way, it's sickening.
it was a valid question, and i was very interested to see what people thought.
