sure a lot of people jump on the bandwagon and use 808 (707..etc.) samples now. but I think it's a little bit ignorant to say every tune containing 808 samples is shit. by that logic you could say every tune with an amen break is shit or every halfstep tune is shit.

I was more getting at the reason they have more hype is because they aren't unknown producers to begin with. We don't live in a magical world where the merits of a musician are only judged by their latest output.
