I really liked the "lets pretend the bar is closed so all the wasters fuck off then, we can have a real party". Spot on. Jungle on that system really does show how important bass was in the genre. Messy.
Shame Boomnoise wasn't there. Just didn't seem right.
Wicked night though.

"wasters"
that's the last time i buy one of your BLOODY SONGS

oh FUCK... can't believe i was too skint for this.. i have to find a job that allows me to reach fwd every week..
someone tell more about the lock in! was it still rammed? what time it go on till? who touched deck? (i need all the right details so that i don't get caught out when i pretend to have been there

)
(i'm joking about lying of course, although i once worked with a girl who lied about having been involved in the 7/7 bombings, so this would be pretty tame by comparison

)

Biggles. Am still reeling from this one.
First up out to the lock in crew. That was special. Bigup Hijak for taking us into daylight with the lovely junglism.
Bigup Markle (sorry to abandon u so swiftly at the bus stop bro), Rusko, Kid Kaz, Joe, Matt, Skream, Hijak and out to TNT for the bus ride to Kentish/Hampstead, did u get where u needed to be bro?
Set of the night was standardly Skream b2b Mala. Toooo many sick tunes that i wanna know the names of. There was a Skream number which Poax describes as some "tribal bizness!", proper aggy sounds (track ID anyone?). `Miracles` touched me on levels, massive tune, woulda liked to hear some `Unexpected` though. `Night Vision` remix was perhaps tune of the night. All the aggyness of the original with a massive dose of extra STOMP! POW! FUCK, MY FACE IS MELTING!

well wouldn't you like to know!!!!!
just for you and the lightwieght types that ducked out early......
obviously the lock-in was not still rammed, suppose that would be on top in legality terms. Had to be at least 70-100 peeps in there though.(it's not about the numbers) All the weasels were evicted at 3.30 or thereabouts amidst some chaotic promotion management tactics.
On the decks was no other than the main man, my woodland-folk pal:
MR H. JACK
the man smashed it no doubt in a 91-92 stylee. Very refreshing to hear one of these old school sets that actually represented the quality of tracks at the time; usually these things are ruined by some prick that thinks it's a good idea to try and squeeze 10years of music into their set.
The atmosphere in the place was a trifle messy, but there was a friendly vibe amongst the up for it peeps who made an effort to stick around, boldly attempting to drain the bar of it's contents (legal note: juice bar)
The lock-in of lock-ins ( in FWD>> terms) finally drew to a close at approximately 6.30am with a merry band of genuine heavy-duty ravers who were continuing the shit-talking outside the venue as I left.
maximum props go out to mr. Jizak for the after party...you know it
no props to artwork for the misleading scientific information, you just can't trust the data at this hour.
no props for the savage beast that went for my ankles as I tried to escape the forest.
Then it was off to work for me at 10.30am (you see that old excuse chestnut doesn't cut the mustard with me)
Then...
It was off to the picturesque Addington Court golf course for the superb 21st birthday celebrations of that well-known cheeky upstart, mr. skreams
But that's another story......
all the best to one and all
illy
