the stickies will literally be DSF's only connection, i don't think anyone is asking for DSF to host / promote the album in any way. If that's too much to ask we can move this elsewhere and detach all references to DSF.

-all licenses will be retained by the individual artist

-by submitting a tune, the artist understands that it is considered a DONATION, and will remain free for the rest of forever, whether it's used in mixes or whatever. The artist only retains copyright. as long as the name of the artist/song isn't changed, there's nothing you can do about other people using the song for free.

-no uncleared samples. If one sneaks its way through, it's the responsibility of the artist in question.

Well, that works. Looking back through my tracks now, I don't think I've written a single really good one without sampling something. The track I was planning on submitting only samples a free Wale mixtape and some obscure Tibetan singing, so I think I'm good.

Erm, as collige said mu-electronica is from 4chan /m/ (Their music board).

Planet Mu is called Planet Mu which is a different phrase containing one of the same sounds. I know it's confusing.

good news everyone!

Dubway has given us the green light (with restrictions), and i have set up an appointment with some copyright lawyers to make sure that we can work this in a way that makes DSF 100% clean of legal responsibility.

after my meeting with them on friday, I'll set up an iron-clad format that we can follow to get this done correctly.

the gears are turning! stay tuned for details and start working on those tunes (keep em sample free unless you can clear the sample, remember!)
