Apologies for the second post but I guess it's relevant.
its really easy, especially for those who were never taught it or never paid attention, to forget (relatively) recent european history
the middle class have been a problem for the ruling class for centuries, and having read articles from as far back as 2006-7 claiming the destruction of the american middle class, i think its quite plausible
trouble is people expect purity of ideals, like in this case, they let the cause be overshadowed by the crap surrounding it
like when people claim they hate a type of music and when asked why, the first thing out of their mouth is that they hate how the people, who listen to the music dress...
so easy to tarnish anything that goes slightly against the conceptual grain, even level headed people lose their marbles when the purity of an ideal is sullied

It's funny 'cause this is exactly the way the tea party started (it was started by capitalists and anti-capitalists working together to raise money for Ron Paul in the 2008 election cycle and later on they did more anti-corporate activism). Only difference is, they actually had goals and actually were active and didn't doe that hippie drum circle shit. They were even called 'terrorists' by Glenn Beck and were ridiculed by Fox News in general. And now.. well, we all know what the tea party is these days.
This is why I love occupywallstreet. Just to see how it will evolve in the media.

I'm not saying there isn't problems on wall street just that the solution isn't going to be found on wall street or anything relating to it.
Occupy the ballot, occupy the corporation you work for, occupy what you spend money on.
Maybe if TV's came with a sticker like the ingredients labels on food? So you understood where your money is going before you bought it so you couldn't claim ignorance?
