I find it's alright as long as it doesn't get rinsed out by DJ's trying to play it as fast as possible...
All the remixes of that somehow remind me of the format of the remix for 'Where's My Money?' by TC by Caspa though

It's true though, to make it sound 'louder' producers just end making it sound flat... and, too often as well I think, a little bit crispy around the edges (though that might just be from shiity systems being pushed too hard in the low-end)

Many years ago I saw Donna Summer aka Jason Forrest doing that at live shows, it was dumb then too.

seriously
i hate to even dignify it with a response, but nobody has a problem with evolution... listen to dubstep allstars vol. 1 and then vol. 8. nobody's complaining. the change that bothers people is change that completely trashes the fundamental aspects of the genre
dubplates in dark, dingy clubs with huge sound systems vs 96 kbps mp3 rips from youtube being played on laptop speakers

You guys are being really soggy about it. It's just music. Why are you gettng so caught up in shit that doesn't matter?
I really wonder, if all people were so afraid of change, would we even be using fire today?
Your beloved scene still exists, be happy it isn't Garage. Or Jungle. Or Classical music. Or native american rave-core.

I don't really care that dubstep was hijacked by kandi kids and teenagers. I mean it sucks that they're using it as their platform to get fxkin krazi, man, but you know, just wait for the next awesome thing to come out. We all know this was gonna happen eventually (though admittedly we didn't think that shit was gonna be this bad).
There'll be a new style poppin' up within the next few years. I'm surprised it hasn't even happened yet tbh.

then change your brain patterns so you can enjoy more complex and less up-front music.
honestly its only the people going on about 'evolution' that aren't able to enjoy a spectrum of sounds. i can get down to some skrilly or datsik in a dance. i just realize that its fucking garbage compared to what else is available in edm right now.
