the irony being of course that UK garage stemmed from the US garage house/NYC Garage scene and is insanely influenced by US R&B and Hip Hop Artists/Producers.

nice one dickhead
Did i say UK garage originated/had no influence from abroad? No.

Nice one dickhead for completely misunderstanding my point. Korn said "Dubstep came from its close cousin Metal", basically saying US made it.

a bmth tune was also remixed by borgore (who is now signed to sumerian records, a metalcore label).
asking alexandria just released a brostep remix album featuring borgore, bare, big chocolate, noah d, tomba, document one etc. also on sumerian records.
even suicide silence, whitechapel and as i lay dying commissioned big chocolate for remixes...
i think tek one even toured with metalcore bands
You're correct. I went to see BMTH earlier this year and right at the end as we were all leaving they had a remix of foodball season is over (If I remember rightly) over the loudspeaker, it was pretty cool.

Big C is great, bit of a trend hopper though, from death/grindcore -> Brostep -> Moohbanton, but his remix of Architects is outstanding, a lot better than Korn/Skrillex.

oh yeah, forgot about the architects one.
not really feelin any of that sort of stuff. brostep + metalcore/deathcore (brocore?) just ain't my thing.

Okay jesus. "Dubstep came from its close cousin US Metal". Thats what they mean. You could probably trace everything back so far it just doesn't make sense anymore.. they were basically trying to take the credit for something and saying they was doing it before it was invented (probably in their eyes by skrillex). Self congratulatory twats.

This is as low as it gets. Why doesn't korn collab with a good dubstep artist, like Dj wanka?

The dubstep that they are associated with does come from a metal background... I doubt he means all of dubstep comes from metal.

why is there so much america bashing on dsf lol, dont get where all this dubstep nationalism comes from, nationality doesnt determine musical taste (or intelligence for that matter) and being British certainly doesnt mean you know the history of dubstep ?- it's all personal, whether that person be English, American, Greek or Turkish.

anyway they invented house, techno and cheese in tubes, so stop insulting them!

Also If there is a generalization that all us Americans grew up listening to bands like Korn I have to speak up.. That was joke music, even in High School. But if someone would have told me 15 years down the road that this sort of thing would be happening .. I dunno. :cornlol: Funny how things work out I guess?

i couldn't give a flying squirrel where they're from. korn have proved plenty of times they're bang wagon tossers with no respect for musical culture. i have no interest in what they have to say.

people's grip on what dubstep is is just as warped in the uk as in america (by the looks of things). if i had a penny for everytime i've walked into a flat party in uk uni halls and people are playing chart dubstep remixes off ipod speakers...

at the end of the day, as long as heads keep making deep and tasty tunes it's no bother to me.

Trust me, Korn was/is disliked by metalheads too.
