Completely the opposite for me. Reminded me that there is still new and interesting TV being made in Britain.
2nd and 3rd episodes have been my favourite bits of TV for a good long while.
Out to all involved!

First one was my favourite, I liked the plot more. Sunday's was good, but I think it was my least favourite. Ffion's a slag.

in terms of acting and dramatic tension
3rd episode > 1st episode > 2nd episode

just watched the third episode and thought it was just brilliant, the best one yet. still unsure whether i'd actually want one of those grain things. i mean a lot of the time it would get you out of trouble when you've done nothing wrong and it'd be jokes to watch what happened on nights out and whatever but i just don't think i'd wanna relive the past again and again, would be pretty fucked up...

DVD release is planned for Jan 23rd or it's on iTunes to buy now if you like getting your arse tickled with bad video compression.

Watched them all b2b, half arsed summaries below:
Ep 1 - Very very good. Not knowing much about this show or what to expect, I assumed it was a dark comedy, the whole idea of fucking a pig made me chuckle a bit upon the introduction of the idea of it but it quickly became really, really disturbing. As someone mentioned before, I reckon the strength in this episode came with the concept not really being all that far-fetched. It really seemed like something that could happen. Sadly, I reckon I probably would watch it

It really highlights the impact of social media too - "It's trending on twitter" - and just how influential it all is.
Ep 2 - I was impressed, the 1984 comparisons are valid to a degree. I really thought it was going to be some soppy romantic bollocks, and it was to an extent, but the message was a bit too depressing in this episode. I liked how calm and quiet the main character was up until he went apeshit on stage (side note: he didn't have a speech, but then produces a rather verbose description of the shitty lives they all live?I can't imagine anyone rattling that off without at least some preparation?!). It was horrible to see Abi (

) become a wraith babe to be honest, the moment when Julia Davies said she'd watch it knocked me back a bit. I was expecting a thought provoking male v female debate in this fictional society/world through which all wraith babes would be emancipated or something. I felt more connected to the character in this episode, his lack of dialogue for the first half or so allowed for more of my own interpretations of his thoughts. That said, I still reckon the first episode was better.
Ep 3 - Fucking brilliant, the acting in particular all round was top notch here, moreso than the previous episodes. I really enjoy anything to do with memories/dream/thought interpretation so I was fascinated from the off. The ins and outs of having memories being so easy to recall (and "delete") and share so openly was cool, imagine the constant paranoia? You recalling memories of someone who could also be doing the same, or even the babysitter. There'd be so much anxiety and a lack of trust I reckon if this grain thing existed. Really intelligent episode, on the strength of it alone I think a very good series could be fleshed out around the idea of some of us having grains, the origins behind it and why people don't have them/got them removed. I won't spoil the ending, but this was fantastic.
