Wow, another one sorely overlooked. Haven't gotten it yet but from what I've heard, it doesn't rival Severant for me (though it's still a good effort). It's a bit messy and I feel percussion is much more important for the release than it was on Kuedo's, which favoured vibe and melody. The melodies on here don't seem that striking to me and I'm not getting the same emotional response I got from Severant.
Having said that, this seems more varied and contains more interesting percussive patterns.
In any case, added.

Yeah, Scuba not being in the list is an overlooking on my behalf. Originally I didn't add House/funky stuff either because most of it can be found in the House forum, then again not everyone checks that so I and everyone started adding stuff from there as well. I'm personally not big on Personality, in fact I think it's his weakest album so far, it's too light-hearted and sounds like elevator music at times, at least his progression is applaudable, but the style is not for me.
Added though, Scuba deserves it!
I've also added some links to favourable reviews, not going to do that for stuff I haven't heard and also, sometimes there are no good reviews available on the net, but here and there I've added a good link.
Yeah a lot of people seem to feel that way about personality. Even though I personally love the style, there are a couple tracks on there that don't do anything for me. But the more I listen the more it grows on me. Definitely a switch of gears from his previous albums, but that's part of why I love it.

By my own rules, this album doesn't apply to the thread even though it's not really dubstep, but most DSF visitors will come a cross it at one point, for it is about the new album on TECTONIC by Distal.
I've just heard previews for this album and they sound fucking awesome. I'm sorry to say it, but this sounds like, in part, the album ADDISON GROOVE should have made. It's fucking awesome: neurotic funk, house, hard hitting bass, hiphop, footwork, I heard a little bit of everything in there. Can't wait to hear these tracks in full.
So just a shout, not adding it, I'll consider it dubstep.

Sene - Brooklyknight - Plug Research Music Hip Hop available from boomkat
New to me this guy's making really interesting beats, hip hop with lo fi electronica beat undertones. It's different to but reminds me of the shabazz palaces album from last year which was one of my highlights and in among a more ordinary year for albums than last it's pretty good.

The new Torche album is just a shitload of fun
Re: 2012 : Recommended Albums List (compiled in first post)
A quality album this. Perhaps not quite back at the level of Ladies & Gentlemen, but for me nothing really is. Definitely a contender for my top albums of 2012 so far. Although it's not been a great year for albums yet...
Really enjoying this one too.
For me it doesn't come close to Ladies & Gentlemen (though it's one of my favourite ever albums so not much does), but I would say it's better than anything They've/he's done since. Also one the best live bands I've ever seen too, always make the effort to catch them when they're in town.

added Torche, good album indeed, also a truly great live band.
Couldn't find many substantial things/info on sene, will look better into it later (unless someone's willing to provide me a link to some audio)
El-P is, to my knowledge, not yet released? I didn't think it was out until next month? Probably leaked I assume.

Nedry - In A Dim Light
Really good album, some post-rock meets trip-hop meets dubstep thing. Though I think I enjoyed their Condors EP more, not sure.
Aucan - Black Rainbow Remixes
Loved their Black Rainbow album, but this was kind of disappointing for me. Only liked one remix featuring Dalek. Also has remixes from Scorn, Shigeto, Niveau Zero, Robot Koch, so it's worth checking out if you're into them I guess.
Acephalix - Deathless Master
Old school death metal meets crust. Out on Southern Lord.
Haven't properly listened to these, but seems promising:
16 - Deep Cuts From Dark Clouds
High On Fire - De Vermis Mysteriis
Paradise Lost - Tragic Idol

The Clams Casino self titled album. Don't actually know if it's a 2012 dealio, but it's beautifully done.

I think the first four tracks show certain promise from this character (though I admit, it won't be for everyone and some the ideas haven't quite matured yet, are don't seem to go certain places yet).
After the first 4-5 tracks, things go down hill a bit. If you like Clams Casino, you'll want to check it out though.
Listening back to this, I agree with all you've said really. There is definite promise here, "Fridge, Crank, Gun", "MYD" and "Fuck It None Of Y'all Don't Rap" are all very good indeed.

I've just been catching up on the Bvdub material that was mentioned earlier.
"Don't Say You Know" is deffo the one of the two to get. It has some beats for a change (good ones mind you, oldskool d&b) and some recognisable samples that are treated very well. The rest of the matrial is pretty standard material, the kind of lushness you'd expect from Bvdub.
Good recommendation!

If you liked that, then you should get the East Of Oceans EP on Auxiliary.
