Nah it's not actually Hanatarash though it does have a track by them on it

Basically one side of this tape has quite a few tracks by eye under a load of different names.

Saw Merzbow and Masonna once. Masonna was cool, the whole show was him playing an egg shaker with a pickup, running into a bunch of effects. But Merzbow was - sonically - like standing inside a 747 engine.

Merzbow has been fucking amazing when I've seen him live

can we start a noise/drone/outer limits thread?

post that shit in the breakcore/noise/other thread... drone and noise have been posted and discussed there. What is outer limits?

MerzBow knows noise like no-one else.

I've said it before I know but from what I've heard of Merzbow, I just can't get into it. Perhaps someone could point in the direction of something of his that at least has a tiny bit of melody or structure? He does have a massive back catalogue so I wont write it all off based on what I've heard.

Honestly most of the merzbox is a bit boring

1930 is a good merzbow album to get into as while it's stil very harsh it has a kind of hypnotic feel to it like listening to weird techno for a long time
