This.
Fair point, however this is something you lot are going to have to sort out amongst yourself. It's not practical nor conducive to a healthy community to have all the TROLOLOLO ZOMG U FAGG0T comments edited out of threads after the fact.
You want more grown up threads without shit talking, it'll be a group effort.

Yeah, instead of sarcasm and snarkiness, you can just ignore users saying the same ol' shit. Ignoring weeds out shitty users the best.

-Don't say anything if it's going to be unhelpful to the question asked.
-Less trolls and memes all over the place. Tired of reading trough 5 pages of that to just read something useful.

The trend that really puts me off of this board now seems to be threads turn out something like this:
Guy A: asks a question, maybe misphrases something or saying something noobish
Guy B: tries to answer
Guy A: acknowledges and thanks, says wow didn't know that I feel kind of stupid
Guys C-Z (who never give worthwhile advice, or often give bad advice veiled in technical terms they themselves don't even understand) : pile in "OMG NOOB YOU'RE SO STUPID"
Guy A: look guys I already acknowledged that
Guys C-Z: "HA HA STUPID NOOB I'M SO SUPERIOR EVEN THOUGH MY SOUNDCLOUD LINK SOUNDS LIKE GENERIC PRESETS FROM FRUITY LOOPS AND A HOT MESS, HAVE SOME MEMES"
Guys C-Z: *circlejerk*
Guy A: *fuck this board, logs out and never posts again*
And this is a best case scenario, often Guys C-Z arrive before Guy B arrives 4 pages later and by then Guy A has already fucked off.
And now you know why a good chunk of the vets of the production board have fucked off elsewhere, or only pop up rarely, this place has declined worse than the Grid.
Sure people have always been sarcastic and snarky here, but THEY ALSO ANSWERED THE QUESTION IN THE PROCESS with a bit of friendly joshing or ribbing (and maybe some alpacas and ham vst).

divide subforums by frequency ranges?
have a separate subforum for production inquiries, so only one with the intention of answering or asking can click and see

Or something along those lines.
To make it more visable since people arn't reliable to read the forums rules.

Read the earlier posts. If people stop posting comments like this. The forum will be so much more useful. Think about it.

Less "free mastering services" like they're actual skilled professionals, more people admitting they want to practice mixdowns or amateur mastering on other people's tunes and lump it all into one thread ffs.

All brostep related questions banned.
All links to UKF banned.
All links to electrohouse banned.
It's still DUBSTEPforum isnt it?
People asking lazy questions should also get banned.
Threads titled "Hi guys how does i mek wobble?" with nothing in the comment except "kthxbai" should get banned.
Before asking a question put some effort into looking for an answer yourself. Google, use the search function, check other boards THEN make a thread here.
Too many people want to be spoonfed.
There has to be a big clean up here if this board is to remain useful.
Examples of current threads I'd delete:
"New to producing dubstep

Got some questions.." -- google you lazy fuck.
"effects" -- a.k.a spoonfeed me.
"The Drum N Bass Pluck?" -- have no idea wtf hes asking, i dont think he even understands what a pluck is.
"Such a powerful snare?" -- how many more of these do we need?
"I'm curious..." -- thread about gangnam style. obviously 100% unrelated to dubstep.
"How to chop wobbles?" -- google. but not only that, theres a wealth of wobble information in this forum. couldnt even be assed to use the search function.
Not only would I delete these threads but I would at least temp ban the authors.
This forum is a place to be educated not spoonfed. Or at least it used to be.
I think the community was given free reign to a certain extent and all we've done with it is grind this forum to the ground with the same dumb questions over and over.
It's time for much harsher moderation.
